Love Is...

I didn't give them paper. I didn't give them markers and fancy stickers and heart shaped cut outs. I didn't provide them with the time or opportunity to make their own valentines for their family. As always there was so much to cover this week and being a short week I just didn't get it all in. But guess what they gave me? A precious reality check of what it's all about! I called them outside one by one and asked them a simple question- "What is love?" They hadn't been prompted for answers, they hadn't read cutesy stories. They just quickly responded from what they already know!! And you know what? They get it!!! I was blown away at their precious responses!! Not one said anything to do with materialism or commercialism! (Not that any of that is bad.) I was just amazed by their responses- through the eyes and hearts of a child!
